The Berkeley “Ban the Bomb!” Video is out! The 2nd Edition of the Berkeley Peace Symbol commemoration has lots of cool special effects! The Sound and Recording Audio work in Fellowship Hall was by David Yandle. Post Production Audio & Video work was contributed by Vic Sadot. Now it’s posted to the internet! We need YOU to help us get this information and these links distributed! Note: Every photo on this page is linked to another related site full of information or music.

This video is 58 minutes in length and it will be set for Creative Commons free download so that it can be used in a non-profit manner by activists to schedule it on their local Public Access Cable TV stations. It is indeed educational in that it deals with a subject avoided by the corporate media, the hugely profitable and extremely dangerous nuclear arms race. Born out of fear of nuclear mass destruction, the Peace Symbol has become an essential part of our Peace Movement. How was it created? Who did it? What was the moment of historical context in which this now well-known symbol was created?
gerald-herbert-holton_21feb1958-design_nuclear-disarmament_berkeley_59th_birthday_of_peace-symbol
It was Gerald Herbert Holten who created the Peace Symbol using navy semaphore flag signals as the basis for the design. The Peace Symbol was first used on February 21, 1958 in support of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament in a march of 10,000 people from London to Aldermaston. Gerald Holten had been a conscientious objector during World War II. He was a graduate of the Royal College of Art.

Poet Arnie Passman and the Social Justice Committee of the Berkeley Fellowship of Unitarian Universalists invited poets, singer-songwriters, and comedians to celebrate the 59th Birthday of the Peace Symbol! The history of the birth of the “Band the Bomb” movement in the UK and the need for the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) to be pressed forward are discussed.
hiroshima-ground-zero_us-army_berkeley-celebrates-peace_vic-sadotThe Berkeley Celebration of the 59th Birthday of the Peace Symbol was on “Presidents’ Day”, Monday, Feb 20, 2017. Veteran BFUU Social Justice Committee activist Cynthia Jean Johnson welcomed the small audience who came to Fellowship Hall on that rainy day.

The obligations of signatories to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, and the need for all nuclear countries to sign and participate, are explained in this video.
mordechai-vanunu_berkeley-celebrates-peace-symbol_vic-sadotThe gathering was fortunate to have a formidable poet like Frances L. Hillyard. Frances contributed several thought and emotion provoking poems, including poems about The Statue of Liberty; the view of a woman suffering the violence and turmoil in the city of Jenin in Palestine; a revolutionary salute to Mumia Abu Jamal; and the charming and hopeful “Dove of Light”. A separate 10 minute video of her performance has been posted!

The group has protest rallies outside the Japanese Consulate in San Francisco at 3 pm on the 11th of every month since the nuclear catastrophe first happened on March 11, 2011. Since March 11, 2017 will be the 6th anniversary of the worst nuclear power plant disaster in history there should be a larger than usual turn-out. What’s more is that the emergency is an ongoing radioactive disaster that continues to contaminate land, air, and sea, and continues to threaten all living creatures that depend on these elements of nature for sustenance.

Ahmed Alomary manages to capture the beauty in the city and countryside around Jenin. But the Zionist expansion is constantly pressing into their territories with colonizers who are euphemistically called “settlers”. And the IDF is always nearby to enforce “The Law In These Parts” (An Israeli film that was screened at the annual Jewish Film Festival in Berkeley, California).

Trump’s “Muslim Ban”Analyzed by Alison Weir, President of the Council for the National Interest

Trump’s “Muslim Ban”: Israeli Strategic Plans to “Remake the Middle East”, from 2001 and before, Targeted the Same Countries by Alison Weir, Founder/Director of IfAmericansKnewOrg, President of the Council for the National Interest, and author of “Against Our Better Judgment”. Posted February 13, 2017.

Photo: Syrian Survivors of Western War of Terror on Muslims

President Trump has issued an executive order suspending entry to the U.S for people from Iraq, Syria, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Iran, and Yemen (the order is called “Protecting the Nation From Foreign Terrorist Entry Into the United States”). These same countries were the focus of the “Visa Waiver Program Improvement and Terrorist Travel Prevention Act of 2015” under President Obama.

While reports on Trump’s ban emphasize that these are Muslim majority countries, analysts seem to have ignored another significant characteristic that these countries share.

With just a single exception, all of these countries were targeted for attack by certain top U.S. officials in 2001. In fact, that policy had roots that went back to 1996, 1991, 1980, and even the 1950s. Below, we will trace this policy back in time and examine its goals and proponents.

The fact is that Trump’s action continues policies influenced by people working on behalf of a foreign country, whose goal has been to destabilize and reshape an entire region. This kind of aggressive interventionism focused on “regime change” launches cascading effects that include escalating violence.

Inspirational Song for this blog: “Simple Song of Freedom” – Free mp3 download at Sound Cloud by Broadside Balladeer Vic Sadot update of the Bobby Darin 1969 classic anthem to struggle released under license on “9/11 Truth & Justice Songs” available on CD Baby. The song was actually a hit for Tim Hardin in 1966, and Hardin’s “If I Were A Carpenter” was a hit for Darin.

How to UNITE FOR OUR RIGHTS!

Right here at the beginning of the Puppet Trump Administration All Trump supporters should test Trump’s loyalty to them. Let me explain how to do it. It’s called UNITE FOR OUR RIGHTS! The Trumpeteers really need to demand that our Bill of Rights be restored, that all Anti-Constitutional martial law powers passed by Obama to Trump be rescinded by President Trump now! They should threaten to abandon the Trump regime and all other traitors to the Constitution of the United States. Puppet Prez Obama has passed on some draconian legal claims to Puppet Prez Trump. We should UNITE FOR OUR RIGHTS!

Listen to Robert F. Kennedy, Jr!  “Obama Creates Propaganda Ministry; Now Trump Owns It” (7:21) The Ring of Fire hosted by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
trump-obama_la-times-crop_20161110

Note Published with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. video on Jan 27, 2017: “Just before the Christmas holiday, former President Obama signed into law the National Defense Authorization Act which provides funding for the military. Buried inside the NDAA was another bill that officially establishes an anti-propaganda center in order for the State Department to recognize, understand and expose counter foreign state and non-state propaganda and disinformation efforts aimed at undermining the United States. They really said that. Mike Papantonio, host of America’s Lawyer, discusses this with Richard Eskow, host of The Zero Hour.”

Similarly, all of us American citizens should exercise our inalienable rights to voice our grievance against Puppet President Obama for signing police state laws in bills that should only about monetary matters. They should not include clauses that claim Executive powers to use the U.S. military do indefinite detentions (BORDC) and executions of American citizens without any due process. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. mentions how Obama earlier, with the sweep of a pen, signed an NDAA that repealed the 1949 Smith-Mundt Act that forbade the US government to use psychological operations and propaganda on the American People. The Two War Parties need to start taking orders from the American People! Break out of the Two Party Matrix Mind Trap! UNITE FOR OUR RIGHTS! Defend EVERYONE’S RIGHTS! Or lose them… For more specific information and videos about the deliberate misuse of the annual NDAA military funding bills to claim Anti-Constitutional powers, and to join efforts with other people who are working to reject and rescind such illegal power claims, visit BORDC (The Bill of Rights Defense Committee)! I’ve studied Thomas Paine thoroughly since the 200th Anniversary of the American Revolution, aka The Bicentennial of the overthrow of monarchy and colonialism and the founding of the Republic. I wrote a ballad for him and the chorus is:

“Oh Tom Paine! If you could see us now! Oh Tom Paine! We’ll struggle on! We vow!”

Thomas Paine wrote “Common Sense”, “The Crisis Papers”, The Rights of Man”, “The Age of Reason”, “African Slavery in America”, and “Agrarian Justice”. The lyrics by Vic Sadot are posted in the description box as well as in the video itself. The Ballad of Tom Paine tells the life story of Thomas Paine, one of the foremost revolutionary writers of his time.

Did Michael Hasting die trying to warn you about your loss of your rights through NDAA clauses in the annual military budget bill? That’s an odd way to pass Unconstitutional “laws”! See: “Domestic Propaganda Ban to be Lifted?” (9:32) Published on May 24, 2012 at The Alyona Show on RT. “Last week, the House passed the 2013 National Defense Authorization Act, which contains an amendment that would repeal the Smith-Mundt Act: a 1948 law that prevents the U.S. government from distributing propaganda at home. Alyona discusses the proposed provision with Michael Hastings, who broke the story. What is the significance of the amendment when the line between propaganda, and public relations has become increasingly blurred?” Hastings died in a bizarre car crash in California before he got to publish more exposes.

Amazon has this about the new book:

MARTIN LUTHER KING SURVIVED SHOOTING, WAS MURDERED IN HOSPITAL: AN INTERVIEW WITH WILLIAM PEPPER

Bestselling author, James Earl Ray’s defense attorney, and, later, lawyer for the King family William Pepper reveals who actually killed MLK.

William Pepper was James Earl Ray’s lawyer in the trial for the murder of Martin Luther King Jr., and even after Ray’s conviction and death, Pepper continues to adamantly argue Ray’s innocence. This myth-shattering exposé is a revised, updated, and heavily expanded volume of Pepper’s original bestselling and critically acclaimed book Orders to Kill, with twenty-six years of additional research included. The result reveals dramatic new details of the night of the murder, the trial, and why Ray was chosen to take the fall for an evil conspiracy—a government-sanctioned assassination of our nation’s greatest leader. The plan, according to Pepper, was for a team of United States Army Special Forces snipers to kill King, but just as they were taking aim, a backup civilian assassin pulled the trigger.

In The Plot to Kill King, Pepper shares the evidence and testimonies that prove that Ray was a fall guy chosen by those who viewed King as a dangerous revolutionary. His findings make the book one of the most important of our time—the uncensored story of the murder of an American hero that contains disturbing revelations about the obscure inner-workings of our government and how it continues, even today, to obscure the truth.

Top Ten Reasons: Sandy Hook was an Elaborate Hoax

BERKELEY CALLING BLOG is re-blogging the 7-25-16 Professor James Tracy of MemoryHoleBlog post by Vivian Lee, which happens as the Democratic Party National Convention prepares to give full stage credibility to a story full of holes. Evaluate for yourself the Top Ten Reasons: Sandy Hook Was an Elaborate Hoax. Massive money laundering, cynical media manipulation, and Anti-Constitutional citizen control and disarmament in general are the motives for this “capstone event” crime against the public. This review stands up well to any attempt to cover-up the lies. Read the post and also check out the linked audio by James Tracy at his radio program Checkin’ It Out!

Gene-Rosen_Sandy-Hook-Crisis-Actor_Homeland-Security-drill-sign_Everyone-Must-Check-In

Dr. Tracy, a tenured professor of media studies, was subjected to a massive nationwide smear campaign for raising the questions that every journalist, crime detective, and concerned citizen must and should be asking about every event that happens, not just this one! James Tracy was fired and there is an ongoing law suit about the matter for which donations are being gratefully accepted. Defending the First Amendment Freedom of Speech rights of others is the way to insure them for yourself. It came out in Freedom of Information Act hearings conducted by Wolfgang Halbig of the Sandy Hook Justice Project via the testimony of a City of Newtown First Selectman Llodra that the sign “Everyone Must Check In” was put there by the Department of Homeland Security! The home site for Wolfgang Halbig’s work on uncovering the Sandy Hook crimes is the Sandy Hook Justice Report. James Tracy refers to the book by James Fetzer and Mike Palacek titled “Nobody Died at Sandy Hook”, which can be bought or it can be read on line for free. It was banned by Amazon Books!
