Four years ago Green Party Presidential candidate Jill Stein was handcuffed to a metal chair for 8 grueling hours when she tried to march into the US Presidential debates and take her rightful position representing our Green Party USA. Today, Green Party techies inserted our candidate into the debate in real time, the very debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump that she was being excluded from!
The brilliant audacity of it should be duly noted by activists everywhere who are excluded from the public discourse. It is archived. So the debate from today is not quite over. People need to hear what Jill Stein said today in real time to her Two Corporate Monopoly War Party opponents.
THE GREEN PARTY USA WAS IN TODAY’S US PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE! YOU CAN WATCH IT NOW! PLEASE SHARE IT WITH EVERYONE! STOP VOTING THE TWO PARTY TRAP BECAUSE YOU LEGITIMIZE WHAT THEY DO IN YOUR NAME WHEN YOU VOTE THE TWO PARTY TRAP!

Only one Presidential candidate called for a truly independent investigation into 9/11, Dr Jill Stein. Only one candidate called for an arms embargo of the Middle East, including Israel and Saudi Arabia! Only one candidate clearly stands against the Trans Pacific Partnership sell out! Tune in now!

“Jill Stein calls for new investigation into 9/11” (1:00) Newsy YouTube Channel. Published on Sep 10, 2016: Green Party candidate Jill Stein says there should be a new independent investigation into the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
Donald Trump, on the other hand, has been shown to possibly be complicit in the cover-up of 9/11 because on 9/11 he, like news anchors Dan Rather and Peter Jennings, Trump stated that only controlled demolitions could have caused the steel-framed World Trade Center Towers to disintegrate in 10 seconds. In the case of building 7, it fell later in the afternoon at free fall speed in 7 seconds. WTC owner, Larry Silverstein, Likud Party leader Netanyahu confidant, said on a PBS show that he and the NYC Fire Chief agreed to “pull it”. Last year Silverstein revealed in a Tel Aviv speech that he had plans to rebuild Building 7 in the year 2000!
Trump saw on 9/11/2001: “bombs were used” on WTC in the planes that hit, according to Trump (3:52) TruthMakesPeace Published on Sept. 16, 2016: “Donald Trump saw the same day that bombs must have been used on the WTC towers on 9/11/2001. He quickly knew that the official Bush Story of 9/11 (BS911) was a lie. From his experience building steel sky scrapers, he knew they were built to be strong, even against a jet. He stated to the reporter that bombs must also have been involved. Donald showed what a nice guy he is, as he called his competitor Larry Silverstein to see if he was ok. He did not suspect Larry let 3000 of his tenants die for over $4 billion from insurance”.

In a recent statement on the subject, Jill Stein made the following important comments and promises:
“The families and friends of those who were murdered on 9/11 deserve justice. They also deserve to know the truth.”
“Under our administration a new inquiry would have access to the considerable body of responsible independent research that has emerged over the last 15 years.”
“We would create an independent 9/11 Commission, not one dominated by members with an interest in protecting the reputation and careers of foreign affairs and intelligence communities.”
“It’s time for a full accounting of what happened, and an end to the misguided post-9/11 wars that are actually making us less safe, not more safe.”
In May, a national poll showed that, “An unprecedented 91 percent of voters 28 or younger favor having an independent on the ballot, and 65 percent of respondents are willing to support a candidate who isn’t Clinton or Trump.”

Meeting Green Party Presidential candidate Jill Stein and talking with her about the Bill of Rights Defense Committee’s campaign to get all 6,700 pages of the US Senate Report on US Torture released. We were at a rally to Save the Berkeley Post Office on June 3, 2016. Everyone wanted a chance to talk with Jill in person, and Jill was very patient with us. She was as good a listener to the people who approached her as she was an articulate speaker at the rally making post 9/11 era “Common Sense”. William Rodgriguez was head janitor at the North Tower of the WTC for about 20 years. He even survived the bombing in 1993 for which the FBI was alleged to have played a major role in setting up. He came in late on 9/11/01 and threw himself into the rescue effort. He was acclaimed a hero and dined at the Bush White House until he told his story to the corporate-government press and the 9/11 Commission. Then he was shunned by that media. William Rodriguez became a leading activist and advocate for victim families and is still at that effort.

Ken O’Keefe will speak in Berkeley! Uncensored & Unscripted! Sunday, March 20 from 5:30 – 8 pm in Historic Fellowship Hall, 1924 Cedar Street, Berkeley, CA 94709. http://www.facebook.com/events/203924113305493
Ken O’Keefe’s original marine conservation work has been somewhat overshadowed by his non-violent, but fully confrontational work for human rights. He is an ex-US marine and Gulf War Veteran, who formally renounced his US citizenship in 2001. O’ Keefe’s activities to date include founding Human Shield Action to Iraq (2003), serving as a captain on the first Free Gaza Mission (2008), surviving an Israeli attack on the ship Mavi Marmara (2010) and becoming Social Enterprise Managing Director of Aloha Palestine CIC and the Samouni Project.O’ Keefe is a published author and lecturer who now holds Irish, Hawaiian and Palestinian citizenship, but his ultimate allegiance is to his ‘entire human family’ and ‘Planet Earth’. His style of activism is characterised by his involvement in disarming two Israeli commandos as nine of his fellow Mavi Marmara passengers were executed. The Israeli military later claimed O’Keefe was a “terrorist operative of Hamas”. O’Keefe has repeatedly stated that Israeli Mossad and its assets, along with traitorous elements within the US, are directly responsible for the ‘false flag’ 9/11 attacks.
Thanks to people all over the world, but especially people on Facebook like Shannon Hammock with her Celebrating Phil Ochs’ 75th Birthday page, and also the group page called 1,000,000 Strong for Phil Ochs, there is considerable interest in recognizing the work of American singer-songwriter Phil Ochs on the passing of his 75th birthday on or near to December 19, 2015.
I’ve heard of events all over the country being organized. I’m organizing such an event in Berkeley with singer-songwriter Hali Hammer at Historic Fellowship Hall on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 7 pm at 1924 Cedar Street in Berkeley..
I met and interviewed Phil Ochs in 1973 and just got around to making a 2015 video based on that old reel-to-reel audio tape from WGTB when Phil did a week of shows at The Cellar Door in Washington, DC. (See link below!) Phil stayed at my apartment that week. So I had lots of opportunities to talk with Phil, but I never saw him in person again. Phil Ochs was born in El Paso, Texas on Dec 19, 1940, and unfortunately, he died by suicide on April 9, 1976. Phil Ochs’ songs were unique and thought provoking, not only in dealing with political topics of the time, but in dealing with the political system in a more deeply revealing way. His philosophical songs, such as Changes, When I’m Gone, Cross My Heart, and There But for Fortune, reached people in a deeper and more long lasting way than most songs that come down the pike. In the tradition of Broadside Magazine, edited by Phil’s avid supporters, Sis Cunningham and Gordon Friesen, Phil preferred to call himself a “topical singer”.
The Social Justice Committee of the Berkeley Fellowship of Unitarian Universalists has reserved Historic Fellowship Hall for Dec 19, 2015. We’re sending out a call for people to do one or two songs, or 10 minutes. The performers and songs will be listed in a simple program like we did for the Berkeley Protest Fest with Country Joe McDonald on Aug 15, 2015.
We are looking for people to sing (1) Phil Ochs covers; (2) Phil Ochs tributes; (3) and original songs that the artist feels were inspired in them by Phil Ochs. They can submit an mp3 to me at this email email@example.com
If your song submission is selected, then for publicity we would then need a close-up photo, a short bio of 2 or 3 sentences about you and your music, your website and booking contact info if you have such and want it listed in the program. We hope to hear from talented people who love Phil Ochs who want to sing out in Berkeley on Dec 19th! Vic Sadot

The “BERKELEY PROTEST FESTIVAL” is a Festival to Celebrate Protest in Song, Poetry, and Comedy on Saturday, August 15, 2015 from 10 am to 10 pm in Historic Fellowship Hall at 1924 Cedar St, Berkeley, CA 94709.. Country Joe McDonald suggested the idea to the Social Justice Committee of his local congregation, the Berkeley Fellowship of Unitarian Universalists as a fun way to do some needed fundraising. Fifty performers signed up in short order and the sign-up had to be cut off there. To Purchase Tickets in Advance, see Brown Paper Tickets! If you cannot be in Berkeley on Aug 15th, you can join us via the “CONCERT WINDOW” Live-Stream.
This photo of Country Joe McDonald was in the San Francisco Gate in an article about Joe’s upcoming speech at The Commonwealth Club in San Francisco on August 20 on the topic of “Music as a Vehicle for Social Change”. Thursday, Aug. 20 at 5:15 p.m. $7-$20. Commonwealth Club, 555 Post St., S.F. Click on the photo for more on that!
The sign-up for Berkeley Protest Fest (BPF) has been closed for a while now. The list of 50 performers will be posted here at the bottom, and also at Country Joe’s Web Site. Have a look around there to see Joe’s current projects too! The BPF program will run all day from 10 am to 10 pm. Each performer has 10 minutes to do one or two songs, poems, or skits. For the “protest fest” each performer will be asked to donate $5, and audience members are asked to donate a minimum of $10. This will benefit the Fellowship. Performers can do any songs they want whether original or cover. We are celebrating protest song, poetry, and comedy. We are offering an open forum to Bay Area musicians and performers to sing out, and for poets and comedians to speak out! Suggested donation for non-performers is $10. Since it is a fundraiser for one of the most dynamic and community interactive congregations in Berkeley, we most certainly do welcome larger donations.
To contact the Social Justice Committee call The Hal Carlstad Social Justice Center during the open hours of 1:30 – 5 pm Monday to Friday, or leave a message on the answering machine at 510-275-4272 at any time. This event is a fundraiser for the BFUU. Suggested Minimum Donation for Non-Performers is a minimum donation of $10. Even Performers & Volunteers are pitching in with donations of $5 and labor donated! Let’s keep the BFUU’s heritage of “Spirituality & Social Justice in the Heart of Berkeley” alive and strong! Check out the YouTube project of the BFUU Social Justice Committee and explore the many issue playlists being developed there at SOCIAL JUSTICE IN THE HEART OF BERKELEY YouTube Channel.
Another key organizer for this event is the formidable Berkeley singer-songwriter activist Hali Hammer. She is back from Bali and raring to go! Her skills as an organizer shined in the movement to preserve the Berkeley Post Office from the trend to privatize all public assets into private corporate hands. Amazingly the people of Berkeley won! Hali Hammer was also recently at the Highlander Research and Education Center where activism is supported by the arts, especially folk music. Hali and Joe have been on several KPFA radio shows to promote the Berkeley Protest Festival, and Joe has garnered excellent press, most notably on the cover of The Berkeley Times run by Tim Kerr.
