The song is based on the book of the same title by King family lawyer, William Pepper. The book tells the story of the trial that Pepper won on behalf of the King family in 1999 in a Memphis court where a jury of 6 black and 6 white jurors unanimously found Loyd Jowers and unnamed government conspirators guilty of murdering Martin Luther King. The studio recording features Vic Sadot on vocals and acoustic guitar and Eric Golub on viola.

Amazon has this about the new book:

MARTIN LUTHER KING SURVIVED SHOOTING, WAS MURDERED IN HOSPITAL: AN INTERVIEW WITH WILLIAM PEPPER

Bestselling author, James Earl Ray’s defense attorney, and, later, lawyer for the King family William Pepper reveals who actually killed MLK.

William Pepper was James Earl Ray’s lawyer in the trial for the murder of Martin Luther King Jr., and even after Ray’s conviction and death, Pepper continues to adamantly argue Ray’s innocence. This myth-shattering exposé is a revised, updated, and heavily expanded volume of Pepper’s original bestselling and critically acclaimed book Orders to Kill, with twenty-six years of additional research included. The result reveals dramatic new details of the night of the murder, the trial, and why Ray was chosen to take the fall for an evil conspiracy—a government-sanctioned assassination of our nation’s greatest leader. The plan, according to Pepper, was for a team of United States Army Special Forces snipers to kill King, but just as they were taking aim, a backup civilian assassin pulled the trigger.

In The Plot to Kill King, Pepper shares the evidence and testimonies that prove that Ray was a fall guy chosen by those who viewed King as a dangerous revolutionary. His findings make the book one of the most important of our time—the uncensored story of the murder of an American hero that contains disturbing revelations about the obscure inner-workings of our government and how it continues, even today, to obscure the truth.

“Jill Stein calls for new investigation into 9/11” (1:00) Newsy YouTube Channel. Published on Sep 10, 2016: Green Party candidate Jill Stein says there should be a new independent investigation into the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

Donald Trump, on the other hand, has been shown to possibly be complicit in the cover-up of 9/11 because on 9/11 he, like news anchors Dan Rather and Peter Jennings, Trump stated that only controlled demolitions could have caused the steel-framed World Trade Center Towers to disintegrate in 10 seconds. In the case of building 7, it fell later in the afternoon at free fall speed in 7 seconds. WTC owner, Larry Silverstein, Likud Party leader Netanyahu confidant, said on a PBS show that he and the NYC Fire Chief agreed to “pull it”. Last year Silverstein revealed in a Tel Aviv speech that he had plans to rebuild Building 7 in the year 2000!

Trump saw on 9/11/2001: “bombs were used” on WTC in the planes that hit, according to Trump (3:52) TruthMakesPeace Published on Sept. 16, 2016: “Donald Trump saw the same day that bombs must have been used on the WTC towers on 9/11/2001. He quickly knew that the official Bush Story of 9/11 (BS911) was a lie. From his experience building steel sky scrapers, he knew they were built to be strong, even against a jet. He stated to the reporter that bombs must also have been involved. Donald showed what a nice guy he is, as he called his competitor Larry Silverstein to see if he was ok. He did not suspect Larry let 3000 of his tenants die for over $4 billion from insurance”.

Jill Stein Proved Me Wrong by Kevin Ryan at DigWithin Blog, author of “Another Nineteen: Investigating Legitimate 9/11 Suspects”

kevin-robert-ryan_another-19_book-cover
My last blog post was wrong. As of a week ago, it does matter who is elected president. That’s because one of the candidates has openly called for a new investigation into the crimes of 9/11.

In a recent statement on the subject, Jill Stein made the following important comments and promises:

“The families and friends of those who were murdered on 9/11 deserve justice. They also deserve to know the truth.”

“Under our administration a new inquiry would have access to the considerable body of responsible independent research that has emerged over the last 15 years.”

“We would create an independent 9/11 Commission, not one dominated by members with an interest in protecting the reputation and careers of foreign affairs and intelligence communities.”

“It’s time for a full accounting of what happened, and an end to the misguided post-9/11 wars that are actually making us less safe, not more safe.”

In May, a national poll showed that, “An unprecedented 91 percent of voters 28 or younger favor having an independent on the ballot, and 65 percent of respondents are willing to support a candidate who isn’t Clinton or Trump.”

We were at a rally to Save the Berkeley Post Office on June 3, 2016. Everyone wanted a chance to talk with Jill in person, and Jill was very patient with us. The lyrics are full of one line gems that pack a lot of impact in the whole context of the storyline. The key to the San Francisco Mime Troupe’s independence and artistic integrity is their San Francisco Bay Area fan-based funding. They do strategic grant fundraising that also supports the many projects they engage in. At the SFMT Merchandise Booth at every show many attractive souvenir items are available. I went for the T-Shirt this year. There is also a volunteer sign-up sheet at the merchandise booth, and you can subscribe to this unique SF Bay Area cultural project at their website. After the show, you can have a chat with the cast and crew. But on days when they have to bust everything down and haul it to the next show, they may seem weary and in a hurry. Able bodied volunteers are appreciated in most cases (lol)…

Frederson-J-Babbit_mocks-Cedar-Rose-Park-crowd_6-03-16-screenshot-vic-sadot

The San Francisco Mime Troupe is indeed a precious example of community theatrical resistance to war and social injustice as well as being a participatory education vehicle for citizen empowerment. Come laugh and enjoy the sunshine as you contemplate the great difference between being “educated” to be capable of doing the critical thinking needed of citizens in a democracy; and being warehoused and “schooled” to be a pawn in the plans of the super rich psycho-patholigical predatory class out to privatize every commonwealth resource and institution on the planet. SF Mime Trouple may be a rag tag organization, but their mission is to make all the difference in the world. So…

SF Solidarity with French Workers

San Francisco supporters of the French workers and their June 14, 2016 General Strike rallied and spoke out at the French consulate in San Francisco on that very day. Speakers supported the demands of the French workers and tied the struggle against union busting and deregulation of labor laws in France with the struggle in the United States for a shorter worker and union rights. Steve Zeltzer was the key organizer of the event and he announced the SF Solidarity gathering on his WorkWeek Radio Show, which runs from 3:30 – 4 pm every Tuesday on 94.1 FM KPFA PACIFICA RADIO. Steve went to the French consulate in San Francisco right after the show to lead a small but vocal international solidarity demonstration from 5 – 7 pm where a Solidarity Statement was distributed to passers by in 13 languages, and was read aloud in English, French, and Spanish.

Gearóid Ó Colmáin reported from Paris on the General Strike in France as it was happening on WorkWeek Radio on KPFA PACIFICA in Berkeley, California. He was interviewed by host Steve Zeltzer on June 14, 2016. France is experiencing a wave of protests led by labor unions against the emergency decree by Prime Minister Manuel Valls. Gearóid Ó Colmáin appeared in the first of 3 segments on the June 14 program. http://kpfa.org/episode/workweek-june-14-2016

The gathering  outside of the French Consulate in San Francisco began at 5 pm. Vic Sadot and Dave “Redd Welsh” spoke and sang appropriate songs. Several speakers from SF Labor groups spoke. Their were two labor activists from India who decided to take a turn at the mic as well. A two sided flyer was distributed to people passing by and was published on line that had a short San Francisco Solidarity with French Workers Statement written in 13 languages just because that’s all that would fit on the flyer. Sam Francisco has a proud labor union tradition and history. Brochures for the annual month long (July) Labor Fest 2016 San Francisco Bay Area were distributed at the solidarity action.Solidarity-workers-hand-in-hand

SF Bay Area June 14, 2016 International Solidarity Statement with French Workers!

We stand in solidarity with the French working class! Victory to the Unions and their allies who are making the General Strike of June 14, 2016 against the attack on workers’ rights! We note that this law was not passed by the elected legislature. It became law only by using an emergency powers clause to impose it by authoritarian decree. We say: Defend the hard-won Workers’ Rights against fake “socialist” politicians like François Hollande and Manuel Valls, who betray the French people by trying to cause austerity in life with a specious claim that this is necessary due to high unemployment and due to highly questionable “terror” events. Defend (1) living wages that make life enjoyable; (2) universal health care; (3) the 35 hour work week; (4) no cuts in maternity leave; (5) no cuts in paid vacation time!

It is somewhat ironic and a sad betrayal to have this happening when France is being led by the “Socialist Party” (Social Democrat Capitalist) with by President Francois Hollande and Prime Minister Manuel Valls pushing for the law, while at the same time a majority in the French National Assembly would not support the law. So Manuel Valls used an emergency clause in the Constitution to call for the law as an emergency measure. This is happening in the context of the two major terrorist attacks in France in 2015 that are still being investigated for their many odd and questionable circumstances. See the two books edited by Professor Kevin J Barrett and about 20 internationally recognized scholars providing the essays: “We Are NOT Charlie Hebdo” and “Another French False Flag”.  You can listen anytime to the shows produced by Steve Zeltzer in the KPFA WorkWeek Radio Archives or in the Work Week Radio SoundCloud: “Covering issues facing working people and the trade union movement from education, healthcare, housing, the environment and public workers. It also examines the role of international labor and the US trade union movement.

Vic Sadot sang Douce France 2015 (Sweet or Dear France) by Vic Sadot at SoundCloud by “Broadside Balladeer”. The French Lyrics & the English Translation are posted below if you scroll down in the description box. “Douce France 2015” is a lyrical parody by Vic Sadot of the song written by Charles Trenet in France in 1943 during the Nazi occupation, Vichy collaboration, and the French Resistance. It was recorded in 1947. Although it is a parody, it most certainly is not a mocking one. It expresses a love and a preference for a liberated France, and a disgust for a France misled by corruption towards fascism. Dave “Redd” Welsh had a new version of the French National Anthem that was less bellicose and bloody, which was dedicated to the workers of France. Vic Sadot sang his version of Bobby Darin’s “Simple Song of Freedom” that Vic released on 9/11/11 on a CD titled “9/11 Truth & Justice Songs”, which is available at CD Baby. Dave Welsh has two recent CD’s with great original political songs: “Class War” and “Stand With The People”.
